ASTM International E783 specifies that “all test apparatus shall be calibrated at a minimum of every 6 months to the tolerance established in Section 6. The procedures for this calibration are, at this time, the responsibility of the testing agency.”

Calibration procedures outlined by ASTM International are not suggestions they are requirements. Without proper calibration of air infiltration testing equipment the testing agency has no scientific evidence that their equipment is performing properly.
